GLOBAL WARMING. PANIC OR REALITY?

GLOBAL WARMING

Global warming is already under way. The evidence is vast and the urgency of taking action becomes clearer with every new scientific study. Some of the most obvious signs are visible in the Arctic, where rising temperatures and melting ice are dramatically changing the region’s unique landscapes and wildlife—as well as people’s lives and livelihoods. Across the globe, other early warning signs include melting glaciers, shifting ranges of plants and animals, and the earlier onset of spring.

VISIT THE LINKS AND ANSWER THE QUESTIONS:
1. What is the global warming?
The gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth's atmosphere due to the  greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, CFCs, and other pollutants.

2. What is the process involved in the greenhouse effect?
The "greenhouse effect" is the warming that happens when certain gases in Earth's atmosphere trap heat. These gases let in light but keep heat from escaping, like the glass walls of a green house.
First, sunlight shines onto Earth's surface, where it is absorved and then radiates back into the atmosphere as heat. In the atmosphere, "greenhouse" gases trap some of this heat, and the rest escapes into space. Most of greenhouse gases are in the atmosphere, the more heat gets trapped.

3. What signs warn us about global warming?
In the Artic (where rising temperature s and melting ice are dramatically changing the regions unique landscapes and wildlife) as well as people's lives and livelihoods. Across the globe, other early warming signs include meeting glaciers, shifting ranges of plants and animals, and the earlier onset of spring. It's changing the rhytmics of climate that all living things have come to rely upon.

4. Watch the video and explain this idea: Global Warming: panic or reality?
It is a reality because that video shows how humans are destroying nature. And it's panic because the humans we destructing the planet and is very dangerous.

5. What can we do to stop global warming? Suggest 5 ideas
     1. Reduce
     2. Reuse
     3. Recycling
     4. Find new energy sources
     5. We can use low consumption light bulbs
